Introduced in 1949, the SW7 was the successor to the popular NW2 switcher. Used in yards, industries and even on branch and mainlines, the SW7s were an equally versatile locomotive. Like the prototype, Lionel's new model is built on the same frame and trucks as our NW2 with new tooling to capture the body changes on the SW series including the larger front radiator screen and smaller cab windows (where appropriate by road name.)
