Lionel 6-18405 Santa Fe Operating Burro Crane

Sale price $69.95 Regular price $99.99

The Lionel "Burro" crane is modeled after the versatile gasoline or diesel powered crane made by the Cullen-Friestedt Company and used by many railroads for track work, rail laying and for handling a wide variety of materials.

The Lionel "Burro" crane can duplicate most of the operations of its prototype. It is self powered and can propel itself on the track in either direction, even pulling one or two cars. It can rotate its cab either clockwise or counter-clockwise, reversing automatically at the end of each revolution. It can raise and lower the hook suspended from the end of the boom. The boom itself can be raised and lowered manually by a hand wheel in the back of the cab.
